Turn Facebook leads into wallet coupons

Capture leads with Meta's instant forms and hand each new lead a wallet coupon the moment they submit — a lead magnet that lives on their phone, not in an inbox.

What you can do

A few ways teams put Facebook Lead Ads and Passmint to work together.

Insert a code-generator step (or pull from a list) before Create Pass and map it into Field Values, so each lead's wallet coupon carries its own redeemable code instead of a shared one.
Swap the coupon for a membership template to turn a 'join our club' Lead Ad into an instant wallet membership card — converting paid reach into a loyalty signup that lives on the phone.

Set it up

One Zap links the two — live in a few minutes, no code involved.

  • A Passmint account and an API key (pmk_live… or pmk_test…), from Developers → API Keys.
  • A Passmint template for the offer you're issuing — usually a coupon or lead-magnet pass. Note its field names: they must match the lead fields you map.
  • A Zapier account (the free plan is enough to build and test this).
  • A Facebook Page with an active Lead Ads instant form. The form must collect an email so the coupon can be delivered and tracked.

In Zapier, add Passmint as a connected app and paste your API key when prompted. Zapier verifies it against your account immediately, so you'll know the connection works before building the rest of the Zap. Use a pmk_test… key while you're setting things up.

Create a new Zap and choose Facebook Lead Ads as the trigger app. Pick the trigger that fires on a new lead, then select the Page and the lead form Passmint should watch. Pull in a test lead so Zapier can read a sample and learn your lead-field names.

TODO(verify): Confirm the exact Facebook Lead Ads 'new lead' trigger label and that it asks you to choose a Page and a specific lead form. Note any re-authorization Facebook requires and whether a test lead must be created via Meta's Lead Ads Testing Tool.

Add an action step, choose Passmint, and select Create Pass. Pick the coupon template from the dropdown — Zapier loads your templates automatically. Then map Holder Email and Holder Name from the matching lead fields.

In Field Values, map any lead answers you want on the coupon to a template field — a discount code, an offer name, an expiry. The key on the left must exactly match a field name in your Passmint template; the value on the right is the lead's answer. Run a test lead, confirm the coupon is created and the URL comes back, then turn the Zap on.

TODO(verify): Confirm, on a real template, that the Field Values keys you reference exist as field names in that template. Mismatched keys are silently ignored.

Questions

The details teams check before switching the Zap on.

Email and name map to the Holder Email and Holder Name fields. Anything else you want on the coupon — an offer code or expiry — goes into Field Values, where the key must match a field name defined in your Passmint template. Lead fields you don't map are ignored.
Yes, in practice. The coupon is still created without one — holder email is optional — but you lose automatic delivery and per-holder analytics, which defeats the point of a lead magnet. Keep email in the instant form and map it to Holder Email.
The Zap fires on each new lead, so the wallet coupon is typically issued within seconds of submission — fast enough to feel like an instant reward for the click. Exact timing depends on Zapier's polling interval on your plan.
Zapier is perfect for getting this live today. When ad spend scales and you need a coupon issued the instant a lead lands, with unique codes from your own system and no per-task costs, call the Passmint API directly — POST /v1/passes, or the @passmint/node SDK. Same passes, same live updates, full control.
