Apple Wallet & Google Wallet, one API.

Scheduling & booking

Give Mindbody class and membership bookings a wallet pass

When a client books a class or starts a membership in Mindbody, send them a live Apple Wallet or Google Wallet pass — a class pass with the time and instructor, or a membership card — issued automatically, no code.

What you can do

A few ways teams put Mindbody and Passmint to work together.

Point a second Zap at Mindbody's new-membership trigger with a membership-card template. Each new or renewed membership becomes a scannable Apple/Google Wallet card showing the tier and dates — the front desk scans it at check-in.
Add Mindbody's class-change or cancellation trigger with a Find Pass step (by client email) followed by Update Pass for a reschedule, or Void Pass for a cancellation. The class pass in the client's wallet follows the change automatically.

Set it up

One Zap links the two — live in a few minutes, no code involved.

  • A Passmint account and an API key (pmk_live… or pmk_test…), from Developers → API Keys.
  • A Passmint template for a class pass or membership card whose field names (e.g. appointment_time, location, host) match the mappings below.
  • A Zapier account (the free plan is enough to build and test this).
  • A Mindbody account with at least one class schedule or membership type set up.

In Zapier, add Passmint as a connected app and paste your API key when prompted. Zapier verifies it against your account immediately, so you'll know the connection works before building the rest of the Zap. Use a pmk_test… key while you're setting things up.

Create a new Zap, choose Mindbody as the trigger app, and pick its new-class-booking trigger (or the new-membership trigger if you're issuing membership cards). Send a test so Zapier reads a sample and learns the fields it returns — client email and name, class time, studio location, and instructor.

TODO(verify): Confirm the exact Mindbody trigger labels for both a new class booking and a new membership, and the field names each returns (client email/name, class datetime, location, instructor, membership type). These vary by site and must be checked against live data.

Add an action step, choose Passmint, and select Create Pass. Pick your class-pass or membership template from the dropdown — Zapier loads your templates automatically. Map Holder Email and Holder Name from the client's email and name.

In Field Values, map the class time, studio location, and instructor onto your template's fields (or the membership type and dates for a membership card). Each key on the left must exactly match a field name in your Passmint template (e.g. appointment_time, location, host). Run the Zap with your test booking, open the pass on a phone to confirm it looks right, then switch to a pmk_live… key and turn it on.

TODO(verify): Confirm, on a real template, that the Field Values keys you reference exist as field names in that template, and that the Mindbody fields you map them from (class time, location, instructor) carry the values you expect.

Questions

The details teams check before switching the Zap on.

Yes — build one Zap per use case. Point one at the new-class-booking trigger with a class-pass template, and a second at the new-membership trigger with a membership-card template. Both use Passmint's Create Pass action with a different template.
Whatever you map. Client email and name go to Holder Email and Holder Name; the class time, studio location, and instructor go into Field Values, where each key must match a field name in your Passmint template.
Only if you build the update path. The basic Zap issues a pass on booking. Add Mindbody's class-change or cancellation trigger with a Find Pass → Update Pass (or Void Pass) step, and Passmint pushes the change to the installed pass automatically.
Zapier is perfect for getting this live today. When you're issuing class passes and membership cards at studio volume, or want them created the instant a booking lands without per-task costs, call the Passmint API directly — POST /v1/passes, or the @passmint/node SDK. Same passes, same live updates, full control.
