Apple Wallet & Google Wallet, one API.

CRM & marketing

Hand every new ActiveCampaign contact a wallet pass

Let a new contact, a tag, or an automation step drop a live Apple Wallet or Google Wallet coupon or loyalty pass into someone's phone — fired from the marketing automation you already run.

What you can do

A few ways teams put ActiveCampaign and Passmint to work together.

Fire a webhook step whenever a contact's points custom field changes, add a Find Pass step (by holder email), then Update Pass. The new balance is pushed straight to the loyalty card already in their wallet — no re-issue, no resend.
Use a tag-added trigger and a Zapier path per tag, each pointing Create Pass at a different template — a VIP card for one tag, a standard coupon for another — so a single ActiveCampaign account drives several pass programs.

Set it up

One Zap links the two — live in a few minutes, no code involved.

  • A Passmint account and an API key (pmk_live… or pmk_test…), from Developers → API Keys.
  • A Passmint template for the pass you're issuing — a coupon or loyalty card. Note its field names (e.g. discount_code, points): they must match the ActiveCampaign fields you map.
  • A Zapier account (the free plan is enough to build and test this).
  • An ActiveCampaign account with the list, tag, or automation you want to issue from.

In Zapier, add Passmint as a connected app and paste your API key when prompted. Zapier verifies it against your account immediately. Use a pmk_test… key while you set things up.

Create a Zap with ActiveCampaign as the trigger app and choose the event that fits — a new contact, a tag added, or a webhook fired from inside an automation. Send a test so Zapier reads a sample contact and learns your custom-field names.

TODO(verify): Confirm the exact ActiveCampaign trigger label for your case (new contact vs tag-added vs automation webhook). If you're firing from an automation step, confirm how the contact's email and custom fields arrive in the test data.

Add an action step, choose Passmint, and select Create Pass. Pick the template from the dropdown — Zapier loads your templates automatically. Then map Holder Email and Holder Name from the contact's email and name.

In Field Values, map the ActiveCampaign data you want on the pass to template fields — a discount custom field to discount_code, a points field to points, and so on. Each key on the left must exactly match a field name in your Passmint template. Send a test, open the resulting pass on a phone, then switch to a pmk_live… key and turn the Zap on.

TODO(verify): On a real template, confirm the Field Values keys exist as field names there. Confirm the names of the ActiveCampaign custom fields you mapped (their personalization tags can differ from the label shown in the UI).

Questions

The details teams check before switching the Zap on.

Yes. Add a webhook (or the matching Zapier trigger) at the exact step in your ActiveCampaign automation where you want the pass to go out, and pass the contact's email and fields through. The Create Pass step fires only for contacts who reach that step.
Store the code in an ActiveCampaign custom field (generated however you like) and map that field to your template's code field in Field Values. Each contact then gets a coupon pass carrying their own code rather than a shared one.
Only if you build the update path. The basic Zap issues a pass on the trigger. To reflect a later change, fire on the tag or field change, then use Find Pass → Update Pass — Passmint pushes the update to the installed pass automatically.
Zapier is perfect for getting this live today. When a campaign sends passes to thousands of contacts at once, or you want coupon codes and balances driven straight from your own systems, call the Passmint API directly — POST /v1/passes, or the @passmint/node SDK. Same passes, same live updates, full control.
