Apple Wallet & Google Wallet, one API.

For pass holders

Manage pass notifications

Updated June 29, 2026

Passes can show notifications, for example when something changes or when you're near a relevant place. If you're getting too many, or too few, you can adjust this per pass in your wallet's settings.

On iPhone (Apple Wallet)

1
Open the pass

Open the Wallet app and tap the pass.

2
Open its options

Tap the more button (the three dots) to see the pass details.

3
Adjust the toggles

Turn Allow Notifications on or off. Some passes also offer location and lock-screen options you can toggle here.

On Android (Google Wallet)

Open the Google Wallet app, tap the pass, and open its more menu (the three dots) to find its notification settings. You can also manage Google Wallet's notifications from your phone's main Settings → Apps → Google Wallet → Notifications.

These settings control notifications about the pass, like change alerts and reminders. The pass itself still updates automatically whether notifications are on or off; see why didn't my pass update?

A note on what passes can do

What notifications a pass sends is up to the business that made it. Turning notifications off stops the alerts on your side; it doesn't change the pass. If a pass isn't sending a notification you expected, that's down to how the issuer set it up.
