Add a pass to Apple Wallet

Updated June 29, 2026

Got a pass from a business or event? Adding it to Apple Wallet on your iPhone takes just a few seconds. However you received it, the steps are nearly the same.

From a link or email

1
Open the link on your iPhone

Tap the pass link or the Add to Apple Wallet button in the email or message. Open it on your iPhone, ideally in Safari.

2
Review the pass

Your iPhone shows a preview of the pass. Check the details look right.

3
Tap Add

Tap Add in the top corner. The pass is now in your wallet.

From a QR code

If you're looking at a QR code on a screen, poster, or receipt, point your iPhone camera at it. A notification appears; tap it to open the pass, then tap Add.

From AirDrop

If someone AirDrops you a pass, accept it and your iPhone offers to add it to Wallet straight away.

From Safari

If you opened the pass in another app's browser and the Add button isn't working, tap the share icon and choose Open in Safari, then add it from there.

Your pass lives in the Wallet app from now on. Open Wallet any time to find it, and it updates on its own whenever the business changes it.

If it won't add
