Plans and pricing explained

Updated June 29, 2026

Passmint has four plans. They differ mainly in how many active passes you can have at once, plus a few features that matter as you grow. Pricing is shown per month; see the pricing page for the current figures and any annual options.

The plans

  • Free — $0. Up to 10 active passes, 3 templates, webhooks, and 1 team member. Great for trying Passmint and small personal projects.
  • Hobby — $15/mo. Up to 500 active passes, 5 templates, REST API access, and 2 team members. For side projects and small launches.
  • Pro — $49/mo. Up to 5,000 active passes, 25 templates, your own Apple certificate, 10 team members, and a higher API allowance. The plan most growing businesses land on.
  • Scale — $149/mo. Up to 25,000 active passes, 100 templates, white-label options, priority support, 50 team members, and the highest API allowance.

What an "active pass" is

Plans are measured in active passes, not passes issued. An active pass is a live, non-voided pass that's installed in at least one wallet. Test passes and uninstalled passes don't count. This is worth understanding before you pick a plan; see what counts as an active pass.

Choosing a plan

  • Just exploring? Free covers it.
  • Running a real but small operation? Hobby.
  • Need your own Apple certificate or more than a couple of teammates? Pro.
  • High volume, white-label, or priority support? Scale.

You don't have to get it right the first time. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel as your needs change, and active passes carry over.

Going over your limit

Paid plans let you go past your active-pass limit and pay a small per-pass rate rather than hitting a wall. See active pass limits and overages.
