"Add to Apple Wallet" isn't showing
Updated June 29, 2026
If the Add to Apple Wallet button isn't appearing at all, the page usually can't tell it should offer an Apple pass for your device. Here's how to get it back.
Open the link on an iPhone
Apple Wallet only exists on Apple devices. On a desktop or an Android phone, the page won't show an Apple Wallet button, because there's nowhere to add the pass. Open the link on an iPhone (or iPad) and the button should appear.
On a computer the page shows a QR code instead. Scan it with your iPhone to open the pass on a device that can add it.
Use Safari
Some apps open links in their own built-in browser, which can hide or break the Wallet button. If you tapped the link inside a messaging or email app, choose Open in Safari from the share menu, then look for the button again.
The pass may be Google-only
A pass can be issued for Apple, Google, or both. If the sender created a Google-only pass, there's no Apple version to add, so no Apple button appears. In that case, look for Add to Google Wallet instead, or ask the sender to issue an Apple pass.
Seeing the button but the add fails after you tap it? That's a different issue. See my pass won't install (iPhone).
If you've opened the link on an iPhone in Safari and still see no button, contact whoever sent the pass so they can confirm it includes an Apple version.
